I remember when Mt. Wolf disbanded after vocalist Kate Sproule decided to leave in 2013. Their minimalist arrangements and spacious radiance was always intriguing if not enticing. You can imagine then, it wasn’t exactly good news to know we wouldn’t be hearing any more from them following a bunch of successful releases.

But somewhere between the towering music news of late-2014 (can’t actually remember what happened!) it was announced that the remaining three members of Mt. Wolf would reform and perform again. This track is taken from their Red EP due for release on April 13. It continues on from their previous claustrophobic philosophy where space is appreciated allowing the drums to echo in the shadowy caverns before Alexa Harley’s spine-tingling vocals fill the gaps.

It’s one for late nights in solitude with nothing but the thoughts in your head and the sound of Mt. Wolf returning to your ears.
